The fastest way to get help: include your device model, your iOS or watchOS version, and the Upspan version (Settings, then About). For sync issues, tell us whether both devices are signed in to the same Apple ID.

How do I give Upspan health access?
Upspan asks for Apple Health permissions during onboarding. If you skipped or denied them, open the iOS Settings app, then Health, Data Access & Devices and Upspan, and turn on the categories you want to share, such as steps, energy, sleep and heart. Upspan only reads the data you allow.
The app used to be called +1UP
It is the same app with a new name. If you bought it before version 1.1, every feature stays unlocked for you automatically, with nothing to buy or restore.
My progress won't sync to my watch
Progress syncs through your own iCloud. Check that your iPhone and Apple Watch are signed in to the same Apple ID, that iCloud is turned on, and that both devices are online. Sync can take a few minutes, and opening Upspan on both devices helps it along.
What is free and what is in the unlock?
Upspan is free to download and every feature is open for the first 14 days. After that, medals, XP, levels, goals, water and sleep tracking, breathing, the dashboard, Game Center and iCloud sync stay free. The one-time unlock adds the deeper stress, workout and body insights, five more looks, and every widget and complication. There is no subscription.
Do I have to pay again on another device?
No. The unlock is tied to your Apple ID. On any device signed in to the same Apple ID, open Settings in Upspan, go to Unlock and tap Restore Purchases. You will not be charged twice.
How do I add widgets?
Long-press your Home Screen or Lock Screen, tap Edit and then Add Widget, search for Upspan, and choose from level, medals, stress, weight, XP history, water, one-tap water logging and breathing. Widgets and watch-face complications are part of the unlock and are open during the free trial.
Breathe Together isn't starting
Solo breathing works any time. Breathe Together needs an active FaceTime call with a friend who also has Upspan. Start the FaceTime call first, then tap Breathe Together in the Mindfulness tab.
How do I request a refund?
Purchases are handled by Apple, so refunds go through them. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, find Upspan and follow Apple's process.
Which devices are supported?
iPhone with iOS 17 or later. The watch app requires an Apple Watch with watchOS 10 or later. Game Center leaderboards are available on iPhone.
